Adam Brashear's exposure to mutagenic radiation made him an antimatter reactor and granted him superpowers, making him the Blue Marvel. Those powers would save Monica Rambeau's life and, in turn, amplify her natural ability to manipulate light and energy, supercharging her powers as the hero known as Spectrum. Together Blue Marvel and Spectrum protect the earth as part of the Mighty Avengers.
